At Biospectra we are committed to protecting the privacy of our customers and the users of this Site. This Privacy Policy explains what personal information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have — including rights granted to California residents under the California Consumer Privacy Act of 2018 as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act of 2020 (together, “CCPA”).

1. How We Use Information Gathered About Our Online Visitors
We collect and use information to operate and improve the Site, to provide the services you request, and as described below. Consumer information gathered on this Site may be used for aggregate research and for future site development. We may use information gathered about you to send you information about us and our products, to monitor interest in our products, to tailor Site content to your preferences by collecting information about your page-view patterns, and to create a profile relating to you in order to show you content that might be of interest to you.
2. Online Advertising and Cross-Context Behavioral Advertising
This Site displays advertising. Those advertisements are served by our own advertising system operated within Biospectra (“first-party advertising”): ad selection, delivery, and measurement (including impression and click counting) are performed by us and are not provided by third-party advertising networks.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not sell or share your personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising, as those terms are defined by the CCPA.
However, for California residents, the CCPA requires that we tell you when personal information is disclosed to advertising partners (for example, business partners such as grocery-store partners) even where that disclosure does not constitute a “sale” or “sharing” under the law. Where we operate advertising jointly with a business partner, that partner acts as a service provider or under a written contract that limits their use of personal information to performing services for us, and prohibits them from selling it or using it for their own purposes.

Biospectra uses standard cookies on this Site for authentication, session management, site functionality, and for first-party advertising delivery and measurement. You can disable cookies in your browser, however some areas of this Site may not function properly if you do so.

Under the CCPA, California residents have the right to:
- Know — request disclosure of the categories and specific pieces of personal information we have collected about you;
- Delete — request deletion of personal information we maintain about you, subject to legal exceptions;
- Correct — request correction of inaccurate personal information;
- Opt out of “sale” or “sharing” — this Site does not sell or share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising; nothing to opt out of is occurring, but the control below is provided regardless;
- Limit use and disclosure of sensitive personal information — we do not use or disclose sensitive personal information for purposes other than those permitted by the CCPA;
- Non-discrimination — we will not discriminate against you for exercising any of these rights.

8. Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information
We do not sell or share your personal information as defined by the CCPA. As a courtesy and in the spirit of the law, we also honor the Global Privacy Control (GPC) browser signal: if your browser sends the GPC signal, our Site records your preference and it is respected site-wide. 9. Policies for Online Visitors Under 13 Years of Age
Biospectra does not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 without verifiable parental consent, and does not provide any personally identifiable information to any third party (other than Biospectra agents) from online visitors identified as being under 13 years of age. When a visitor under 13 provides personal information, we require the e-mail address of a parent or guardian, notify that parent or guardian of the collection, and provide instructions to review and delete the information.
10. Data Retention and Security
This Site incorporates appropriate safeguards using industry standard technology to heighten the security, accuracy and privacy of the personal information in our custody, and we take reasonable precautions to protect information from loss and misuse. We retain personal information only as long as needed for the purposes described in this Privacy Policy or as required by law; requests made under CCPA rights may result in deletion ahead of the ordinary retention schedule where you ask us to delete them. Our security and privacy policies are periodically reviewed and enhanced as required.
